The existence of Laut Tawar Lake is very important because in addition to tourist spots frequented by tourists both domestic and foreign, is also used as a source of water for Central Aceh District and several other districts in the vicinity.

Laut Tawar Lake located in the Gayo Highlands, Central Aceh district, Aceh Darussalam. West side of the lake there is Takengon town, the center of Central Aceh district. Gayo tribe who inhabit the area, call the lake is Danau Laut Tawar, it has approximately more than 5 thousand Hectares.

Musi Triboatton, a Boat Race in Musi River, South Sumatra

International Musi Triboatton is a blend of exploration travel or traverses the river by rowing varied using three different types of boat namely river boat, kayak, and traditional boat racing.


A river is one of the centers of civilization and culture as well as transportation facilities, sports and tourism activities. The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy did support the government’s program and the Regent of South Sumatra province to organize Musi Triboatton, with the start point at the Empat Lawang and ends in Palembang.

Initial activities will start in the village of Tanjung Raya, Empat Lawang (35 kilometres). The second stage will be held in the village of Muara Kelingi to Musi Rawas (140 kilometres). The third stage was held in the City Sekayu, Musi Banyuasin (165 kilometres). The fourth stage begins at Pangumbuh, Banyuasin (108 kilometres). Finally, the fifth stage will be the end point of the participants in the District 10 Ulu, Palembang (75 kilometres).
